This Power Dynamics PD410A Bluetooth speaker set with a maximum power of 1600W is a nice all-round set for many applications. The Power Dynamics PD410A is an active Bi-Amplified 10 "speaker with a maximum power of 800W. The speaker is equipped with a DSP module with four presets, class D amplifier and Bluetooth. Despite its small size, the speaker is still capable of a decent volume so that it does not only need to be used for background music.The built-in amplifiers make the speaker ready for use in no time at all, in the case of Bluetooth use only the plug in the socket is sufficient.

The PD410A has a built-in class D amplifier for controlling the woofer and tweeter. Because the woofer and tweeter both have their own amplifier and can therefore be controlled separately, we can speak of a Bi-amplified system. The advantage of a Bi-amp system is better control over woofer and tweeter, which in turn ensures better sound quality. Because class D amplifiers have a very high efficiency, little power is converted into heat. This means that almost all the power goes to the woofer and tweeter, and that benefits the volume. All this ensures that the PD410A has a very good sound quality and still manages to achieve a decent volume despite its size.

Multiple options are available for connecting the audio sources. First of all, the PD410A is equipped with Bluetooth with which a wireless connection is possible between, for example, a telephone or tablet and the speaker. Music played on the paired device is streamed wirelessly to the speaker so that the music can be heard through the speaker. The microphone input makes it possible to connect a microphone directly to the PD410A. Thanks to this possibility, a presentation can be given in no time without having to lay all cables. For connecting a mixer, CD player, radio or other audio equipment, for example, there is an RCA input, XLR or 6.3 mm jack input. All these connection options ensure that the speaker can be connected to almost all audio sources. If desired, the signal can be transferred via the XLR output to a second active speaker.

The PD410A has a built-in DSP module. This module has 4 presets with which the sound can be adapted to use. These 4 presets: 'PA', 'Monitor', 'Sub' & 'Speech' ensure that the internal DSP module makes small adjustments to the sound for an optimal sound. Do you use the PD410A for giving a speech or demonstration? Then use the 'Speech' setting. For use as a top (in combination with a subwoofer) use the 'Sub' setting for an optimal sound.

The housing of the PD410A is made of a very strong plastic. By using plastic instead of wood, the speaker is very light. Together with the built-in 35mm tophat (hole in the bottom), this makes the PD410A very suitable for mobile or temporary applications. This does not make the speaker unsuitable for permanent installation, on the contrary. Due to its light weight, the PD410A can easily be placed on a wall bracket without the wall in question having to be heavily loaded. The sloping sides are made so that the speaker can also be used on its side as a monitor.

The PD410A is suitable for many applications in smaller DJ settings, the hospitality industry, canteens, companies, etc. The PD410A is also the right choice for mobile or temporary applications at demonstrations or trade shows.
